Come and experience the thrill of joining us in this charity bike ride down Killarney Gap, not to mention the spectacular scenery on the way. Enjoy riding with a group and making new friends in the fresh air of North West New South Wales.
The Killarney Bike Classic started ten years ago to raise funds for local cancer groups and also as a way to remember local farmer, grazier and friend Mark Lampe, who rode from Killarney Gap to Sawn Rocks with a group of friends for an Easter get together with their families. Less than three months later, Mark lost his short battle with cancer. Mark grew up in Narrabri and loved the district. He would be so proud of the effort and support from so many people that will help make other families lives a little bit easier when they have to face the battle with cancer.
To celebrate 10 years of The Killarney Bike Classic a new category has been added to the bike ride – The Business House Relay, a team event with riders changing at each drink stop and a Fun Run has been added into the days activities following the bike ride
The Killarney Bike Classic Committee raises funds for local cancer support groups. Including: Can Assist, Narrabri Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Inala House Tamworth, Ronald McDonald House, Tamworth and The Cancer Council.
